Here is a neat way to win goodies. At whogets.com, they are giving away lots of prizes, and entering is simple. The contests are conducted in two rounds. For the first round, just browse the site and pick out the prize or prizes you would like to win. After 7-14 days, seven random entrants are selected to enter the final round. These contestants have the opportunity to tell teh community why they want or need the prize (up to 100 words). Over the next 1-2 weeks, the community members vote on who they think should get the goodies.
Here’s what’s really neat: nothing to buy, no offers to complete, and SPAM FREE!

Here you will find poems nicely divided by subject. The Poetry Archive is a delightful way to spend enough time to drink a cup of hot tea. Or perhaps a little longer if you have the leisure to do so. From Sarah F. Adams to Claire Zu Bard, the selection is extensive.

I may never look at a PBJ in quite the same way again, because research on bread indicates that………….Bread is Dangerous This site is good for a laugh, and it’s a pretty quick read. Enjoy! Just don’t make a sandwich first.

Sarah McLachlan breaks it down for us. World on Fire is an awesome video, and I promise it will inspire you. The song is beautiful, and the thoughts behind it are just as lovely. It’s nice to see a star doing more than pay lip service to social change.

The anthology is on the web! Start with the page linked to hear some audios, but click around to get more eras/features. I used the Norton Anthology in college back in the day, and I still think it’s great. Oh, this was back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, and the internet was just a gleam in Al Gore’s eye. I actually had to read it myself, on actual pages, printed with actual ink.

Usually when you travel there are a million and one things to keep in mind, but I found a neat travel thing to tell you about today, and it’s an all inclusive resort in The Caribbean. This website offers discounts on travel, and they take care of all the details for you! No worrying about tips, meals, entertainment or any of that. It’s in there, just like the famous spaghetti sauce.
The pictures are compelling and there are a variety of vacations to meet your travel plans. If you are ready to get away, this is a very neat way to do it!

Public Radio Channels from around the world. If you are a fan of public radio, you will enjoy this site. This site is neat for allowing you to catch your favorite shows on your schedule.
Speaking of schedules, I kinda fell off my blogging groove with this site, didn’t I? I’m sorry, ya’ll. I’ll try to do better.

As a mom to many children, I think jewelry that shows mothers and children is beautiful. Here’s a piece I found on a page of Catholic medals. Whenever I see it, it reminds me of the spinning game, and how fun it feels to just hold hands and go around and around. Do you remember how that felt like flying?

This is the classic raft game with a couple of twists. I played this game several times, but I have yet to win. The Japanese IQ Test is more challenging than it looks. Let me know if you figure it out.

I told you I had a couple more neat things rolling around in my head, and the next one is HOT WATER. I feel like I’ve moved in to one of the palatial homes in the the Cary NC real estate listings, even though I am still here in my own modest home in Bitty-burg. I finally got a hot shower after a week of cold water, and life is grand. So, you tell me: is hot water neat enough to qualify for this blog? If you don’t think so now, just disconnect your hot water tank for a week, and then come back and answer.
