I just wrote a post about pick up trucks and cotton over on Native North Carolinian. A truck bedlineris a neat thing for a farmer because it helps protect the farmer’s investment in his trucks. My post is neat because it includes a couple of awesome pictures, and rather than repeat myself, I am just going to send you there to read it. I’m sneaky that way. You love me anyway, right? Speaking of bedliners, they aren’t just for farmers. They are great for anyone who hauls stuff in their truck, or anyone whose truck gets wet or…anyone with a truck who wants to keep the bed looking nice.

Amazing. Incredible. Beautiful. Stunning. Captivating. Compelling. All of these words apply to this page of photographs. Go check out Big Cats, and I am sure you will agree. Then check out the rest of the site, there is plenty to see!

I know several of you like to run surveys on your blogs (yes, I read your blogs), and thought you might like this online survey software. I admit that I haven’t spent time playing with it, but there’s a 30 day free trial, and you can copy and paste to it directly from Word. They also have some sample surveys you can use, or you can use a wizard to build yours from scratch. You can even add logos and images, which makes it great fro bloggers. Have fun!

that would be from me, to you. I’ve been hard pressed for time lately, and it’s been showing up in the writing I do for this blog. I apologize for that, and I’ll try to do better. Just because I accept Blog Advertising doesn’t mean I can be sloppy. In fact, it should mean I work harder to make this blog as neat as it can possibly be. After all, if I’d wanted it to be about boring things, I could have named it that.
Here’s a neat blog to feed the hedonist in you. Luxist is all about the big, the expensive, the incredibly chic. This is one fun blog, yo! Check out this post on the Green Giant, the coconut sized diamond found earlier this year in South Africa. I wonder how many diamond rings they’ll get from just the “scrap” off of that when they clean it up?

You know what would be really neat? Getting more memory for my laptop. I don’t care if it’s Dell Memory or some other brand. All I care about is that it is DDR2 in a 2gig stick, and I want 2 of them. I’m tired of this computer slowing to a crawl when I want to multi-task. It’s got the processing power and I know it;s just a lack of memory that’s holding me back.

This neat thing is for bloggers. You probably realize that if you don’t update for a while, your readers will quit coming by. And yet, life happens, and sometimes you need to get away for awhile, take a vacation, or whatever. I’m not talking about a day or two, but a longer time period. That’s where autopublish comes in. Just write your post like you normally would, and change the time stamp to reflect when you want the post to appear on your blog. Viola, there it is, and there you are–somewhere else. Your readers get fresh content, so they keep coming back, but you get a break. It’s like anti-funeral insurance for your blog!

Here is a website for the blogger in you. Quiz Meme is full of those fun online quizzes that we all enjoy. If you’ve ever wondered what flavor of pie you are or what breed of dog you could be, you can find out here. Go have some fun, and let me know about the pie. My favorite is blueberry. No need to report back on the dog breed, I’m allergic to all of them.

I know I use to post to this blog much more frequently, and I’m well aware that six in no longer a number that bears any relation at all to this site. There’s a reason. I started this blog to hold the neat sites I found that didn’t find on my other blogs. But, then I got some other blogs, and while I still have sites in draft, I am finding that many of them fit on other blogs, or are no longer existent, or, or, or. I am wading through them, and whittling them down, and that’s why I haven’t been posting so much here. I will get back in to the swing of this. I promise. But you can help me. Send me a cool juggling site, cause that’s really what I feel like I’m doing just about now.

The premise behind One sentence seems impossible at first glance: entire stories, told in only one sentence. But I have been reading this site since October of 2006, and I’m telling you that it works, and it works in an incredibly powerful way. I never thought lives could be condensed so fully in such a small space, but you will find great joy and great pain here, as well as comments about the mundane. Just go read it and see if you don’t agree.

Neat way to handle your, umm, blogroll. You enter the sites you want listed, and Blogrolling spits out a tiny little javascript to place in your sidebar. This is really handy for group blogrolls, because when the owner updates it, it updates for everyone. There’s a caution with this though: if you are using blogrolls to give backlinks, google does not see the links for PR purposes. If you want to give a site google juice, you will still need to hard code the link.

A few days ago, I blogged about the do follow plugin I had installed on this blog. Since that time, and time is speedy in the internet world), I’ve been listed on the D List, by my friend Retta. The DList is a list of blogs who follow their comments, giving back links to the folks who stop by with something to say.
Here’s how it works:
***Begin to copy here***
1. Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra link back.
2. Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.
3. Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the “Originals†list.
4. Add at least 1 new blog that you KNOW us using the DO FOLLOW plugin to the list in the “My Adds†section. (Add no more than 5!) Let the people you’ve added know, so that they can keep the list going!
5. Leave relevant comments on the blogs listed and get a link back to your site thanks to Do Follow!
