     I&#039;ve got to check out Classical Cat myself - it sounds like a great site. As for George Gershwin, he was mainly a composer of music for Broadway shows - the &quot;pop&quot; music of the early-and mid-20th Century. Although he was not, strictly speaking, a &quot;jazz&quot; stylist, &quot;Rhapsody&quot; was originally written for performance by one of the more popular jazz performers of the era, Paul Whiteman. The version you probably heard is a standard arrangement for piano and orchestra. If you enjoyed &quot;Rhapsody&quot;, look for &quot;An American In Paris&quot;, another Gershwin piece.
